Based in the town of Glossop, Derbyshire, Glossop Firewood & Fuel Suppliers are a rapidly growing business that specialise in supplying affordable firewood and solid fuels across the U.K. Working with the general public and other solid fuel businesses, we pride ourselves in supplying you the best quality solid fuels on the market.
The company was formed in March 2014 with a borrowed circular saw, an axe and a stack of old pallets. We began by breaking up the pallets to chop our own kindling and firewood for the local residents. After many long hours chopping, the company progressed to also supply coal and logs locally. We sourced our own timber, chopped, split and stacked the logs neatly to season for around 12 months to ensure the wood was dried correctly. As the 12 month waiting processes began, we began buying in already seasoned logs from numerous other solid fuel suppliers. It was this stage that only brought frustration to the company due to the poor quality of wood on the market. It was this poor quality firewood that lead us into sourcing kiln dried firewood.
By the end of 2014, Glossop Firewood and Fuel Suppliers expanded by entering the kiln dried firewood market, with an aim in supplying the very best quality logs. Totally eliminating damp, wet wood, we strived to supply premium quality wood to all our customers.
The start of 2015 saw the company supply customers from all over the uk with kiln dried firewood, delivering in areas such as Scotland and Cornwall. We now supply stove shops and other solid fuel businesses with kiln dried logs in large quantities at wholesale prices. From 26 tonne shipping container loads, to 1 tonne pallets, our firewood is gaining in popularity at a rapid rate.
By August 2015 we started supplying the same large quantities in kiln dried kindling wood at wholesale prices. We continue to take the necessary steps in expanding the company in this field.
